“Full self-driving is amazing- until it isn't.”
I am a PhD Researcher at the Robotics Research Center (RRC), IIIT Hyderabad, advised by Prof. K. Madhava Krishna and co-advised by Prof. Arun Kumar Singh.
My research focuses on augmenting machine learning with classical methods, particularly in motion planning and navigation. My early work explored end-to-end training of perception and planning to address objective mismatch, a direction that has now become common in Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models. Advancing this paradigm, I am currently exploring methods to augment generative trajectory planners with optimization-based solvers to enable safety guarantees by construction rather than test-time refinement.
